70 years of impact – Partnering for a stronger future in community services

Important announcement: Annecto will cease all services in July 2025

After more than 70 years of dedicated support service across Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and the Australian Capital Territory, Annecto Incorporated (Annecto) will be ceasing all aged care and disability services in July 2025.

This difficult decision follows careful deliberation and extensive stakeholder consultation which considered the service model shifts in the aged care and disability sectors and the financial challenges facing the organisation.

As a result, it was identified that Annecto would be unable to continue providing services in the future.

Transitioning the people we support to other trusted providers

Annecto customer transition letters

Below, you will find the official letters that have been mailed out to the people we support regarding this announcement.

At Annecto, we support over 3,000 people with aged care and disability services to live independently and stay connected to what’s important to them. Our focus now is working together to transition the people we support and the services they receive to other trusted providers who can continue delivering the support they need and deserve.

We will ensure a seamless transition and are currently working closely with:

Through this transition, community remains at the heart of what we do. We are committed to the people we support and all Annecto staff during this time. We are committed to compliance and ethical service delivery, ensuring our transition process aligns with customer, employee, and regulatory expectations. We will continue to prioritise the welfare of the people we support, particularly those with high support needs.

A special acknowledgment to the founding families of Annecto

We would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge Annecto’s founding families. It all started in the 1950s, when a small group of young families from the Western Suburbs of Melbourne came together with a vision of a more inclusive world. Without that vision, we wouldn’t have over 70 years of dedicated service and support for people across the country who lived the life they wanted in their own homes and out in their community.
