Colleen Furlanetto, OAM

Chair

Colleen is a former nurse with over 20 years of experience committed to person-centred support across various roles, including disability support worker, acute care, aged care, disability, and community nursing. She has consistently advocated for prioritising the needs and preferences of individuals in health and support services. In addition to her clinical work, Colleen has held numerous ministerial appointment portfolios and participated in various committee roles focused on safety and inclusion for Victorians with disabilities in health, transport, and regional development. Her board experience includes contributions to emergency management and disability advocacy, helping to shape policies that enhance community safety and wellbeing. As a person with a disability who identifies as a woman, Colleen is dedicated to promoting the right to active citizenship for all and fostering a community-wide commitment to respect and safety for everyone.
