Housing and Support
Housing and Support helps you live independently in the home of your choice.
What we do
Annecto is a registered NDIS provider. We put you, your community and your life goals at the centre of our work.
We work with you to make sure that your new home is right for you. That can include setting up smart technology, accessibility equipment and home modifications.
We partner with organisations such as Guardian Living, Housing Choices Australia and Haven; Home, Safe across Victoria, to support you to find the best housing and living environment.
The services we offer
Supported Independent Living (SIL)
With Supported Independent Living (SIL) supports, we assist you to live independently in your home. SIL is best suited for people with higher support needs, who need a significant amount of assistance throughout the day, every day. It can also include overnight support.
SIL supports can mean assisting you with daily tasks, like personal care, cooking meals or going to your favourite local cafe, so you can live as independently as possible, while building your skills.
Daily living supports
We can support you with your everyday activities and the basic support you need to live your life and achieve your goals.
Daily living supports, known as flexible NDIS core supports, include four categories of support:
- Daily home and personal supports
- Social and community connection and participation
- Transport services
- Consumables – we can help you purchase items that will help you live the life you want, from house modifications or a wheelchair to small items for around your house.
Short stays
Known as Short-Term Accommodation (STA), Annecto Housing and Support offers an out-of-home STA service for participants that have NDIS STA funding.
Located in Taylors Lakes, our short stay site is accessible to anyone in need of a short break or looking to take a first step towards living independently. We provide a safe space that is set up for you, outside of your usual home, whether it’s for a night or for six weeks.
We also offer medium-term stays (up to 90 days).
Community participation and access
We will support you to connect with your community. Learn or try something new in your neighbourhood, sing your heart out on a karaoke night, or simply go to your favourite op-shop: let us know what is important to you!
Transition support
We will support you to live independently into your own home. At Annecto, we can assist you with transitioning from institutional settings to your own house or apartment. We will be there every step of the way to make sure that you feel safe, confident and in control.
Capacity building
We will work with you to create your personalised support plan and identify your goals. We support you to build skills, confidence and independence so you can live the life you want.
Clinical and Allied Health services
We can arrange for a qualified nurse or an allied health professional to visit you at home to assess your medical needs and provide support.
Why choose us?
At Annecto, we are proud of our track record in supporting people to transition away from nursing or residential homes into homes that work for them.
The housing environments we work in are built with specific infrastructure and assistive technology to enable you to live with minimum support and maximum independence.
With a team of over 150 frontline workers, we operate in multiple sites across the Melbourne metropolitan area.
We will work with you to support you to achieve your life goals. Our team focuses on getting to know each individual tenant and what is important to them – to you! This can include building connections in the community, increasing your opportunities to get a job, or even simply enjoying your new home.
