Above: Brad Mollison and Maggie Worsley – along with many others were hard at work at the Bunnings sausage sizzle.
Clients, staff and families involved in annecto’s David House Learning Hub rolled up their sleeves on Anzac Day to cook about 400 fundraising sausages at West Footscray Bunnings. The result of everyone’s hard work was a total of $1,112 raised to put towards activities and equipment.
Bunnings customers were greeted by an enthusiastic group of people who enticed them towards the sausage sizzle. Our roving annecto ambassadors did a wonderful job of bringing people to the stall, so much so that the stall had to re-stock with sausages from the local supermarket after they ran out during the afternoon.
There were 25 people involved on the day, but special thanks must go to annecto David House community development worker Gerard McAdam and his wife Amelia for their organisational work and being stalwarts on the stall throughout the entire day.
