disAbility Connections (VIC) 

the voice of people with disability in the across Victoria

The disAbility Connections Victoria (formerly WRDN) is a network of over 960 people with disabilities, their carers / families, service providers, government and community from across the Western and Northern suburbs of Metropolitan Melbourne who share an interest in disability issues.

Proudly auspiced by annecto, the roles of the dCV are:

  • disseminating information
  • building the capacity of people with disabilities and their carers
  • raising community awareness and providing advocacy through partnerships and collaboration

Vision

The dCV is a passionate regional grassroots network that informs and empowers people with a disability and those who support them to have an active presence and influential voice in community and civic life.

Mission

Collectively we promote participation, leadership, equality and a voice in decision-making through information exchange and systematic advocacy by building bridges and partnerships which focuses on information sharing, networking and regional disability service planning.

Through an independently elected committee dCV brings together people with a disability, their families and carers, self help groups, government, disability service providers, disability advocacy organisations and mainstream services.
